About Us

Affirmations of Franklin is a family-owned metaphysical and wellness shop created to be more than just a place to shop. We believe meaningful spaces matter — places where people can slow down, explore new interests, discover something that resonates, and feel genuinely welcomed.

Inside the shop, you’ll find a thoughtfully curated mix of crystals, candles, jewelry, books, spiritual tools, self-care products, handmade goods, local artisan items, and meaningful gifts. Alongside the retail space, we also host workshops, readings, discussion nights, guest practitioners, and seasonal community events designed to bring people together in approachable and authentic ways.

More than anything, Affirmations is built around people and community. Whether you’ve been exploring spirituality and self-growth for years or are simply curious and stopping in for the first time, we hope this space feels grounded, welcoming, and inspiring.

Our Story

Affirmations began through Kayla’s personal journey with grief, healing, and searching for a more meaningful path after losing her father during the COVID pandemic. During that season of life, spirituality, mindfulness, affirmations, crystals, and creating intentional spaces became a source of comfort and grounding for her, eventually growing into the idea for a shop that could offer that same feeling of peace and connection to other people too.

At the same time, Affirmations was being built alongside our life as a family raising our four children — Ruxin, Luna, Maeve, and Sylvie — here in Franklin. Much of the shop came together during nap times, school pickups, late nights, vendor events, and weekends spent building displays or unpacking inventory together. Our kids have grown up around the shop and become part of its everyday energy, from helping set up events to testing sound bowls and exploring alongside customers.

Because of that, Affirmations has never felt like just a business to us. It’s become a space built around family, community, creativity, and creating an environment where people can slow down, explore, and feel genuinely welcomed.
